We collect only the information necessary to provide you with automated resume tailoring services:

• Account Credentials: Email address and authentication identifiers when you register via email/password or OAuth providers (Google, LinkedIn).
• Career & Resume Information: Text content, uploaded PDF resumes, target job descriptions, questionnaire responses, and clarification answers provided during gap analysis.
• Billing & Payment Data: Transaction records, credit balances, and Stripe customer IDs. All credit card processing is handled directly by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant); tryresumematch never stores your payment card credentials.
• Telemetry & Usage Data: Anonymous, cookie-less website usage metrics collected via Plausible Analytics and internal database event counters to optimize server performance and reliability.

3. How We Use and Process Your Data

We process your personal information strictly for the following purposes:

• Extracting and structuring your career history into a canonical Base Resume.
• Analyzing target job descriptions to identify keywords and calculate ATS match scores.
• Compiling publication-grade PDF documents using our document rendering microservice.
• Managing your account authentication, credit balance ledger, and purchase receipts.
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting rendering failures upon request.

5. Data Storage & Security

All account records and documents are stored in Supabase PostgreSQL databases and encrypted cloud storage buckets. We implement strict Row Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring that only your authenticated session can query or retrieve your personal resumes and generation histories. All web traffic is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS/HTTPS.

6. Your Data Protection Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Under European Union GDPR and applicable data protection laws, you possess full ownership of your data:

• Right to Access & Portability: You may inspect, review, and download your tailored resumes and editable YAML files at any time directly from your dashboard.
• Right to Erasure (“Right to Be Forgotten”): You can delete individual tailored CVs directly from your dashboard. To permanently delete your entire account, contact details, and all stored documents, email support@tryresumematch.com and we will purge your data within 48 hours.
• Right to Rectification: You can edit and update your contact info and career history at any time in your profile settings.

7. Cookies & Local Storage

We use strictly necessary browser local storage and authentication cookies (sb-*-auth-token) to keep you signed in securely and preserve your in-progress onboarding state. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.
